Explore what I can offer

My services are here to guide and support you through life's challenges, providing a compassionate, safe space where you can freely express yourself and work through things. I'm here to support you in gaining clarity and a sense of calm, as you navigate your path towards personal growth.

Types of therapy that I use

Don’t worry, you won’t need to choose. I will tailor my sessions to your personal needs and use either one style or a combination.

Psychodynamic therapy

Psychodynamic counselling is a form of talk therapy that focuses on helping you understand how your unconscious thoughts, early life experiences, and relationships—particularly those from childhood—shape the way you think, feel, and behave today.

Person-centred therapy

Person-centred therapy is a gentle, non-directive approach that places you at the heart of the therapeutic process. It’s based on the belief that you are the expert on your own experience, and that with the right support, you have the capacity to grow, heal, and find your own answers.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a practical, structured approach to therapy that focuses on how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are connected. It helps you identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or low mood — and gives you tools to challenge and change them.

Counselling

Each session will last 50 minutes and I often recommend 6-8 sessions to start with, plus a free consultation. This consultation can take place over the phone if you feel more comfortable. This enables us to talk about what you want to achieve from therapy, what I can offer you, terms and conditions, how many sessions you might need, my confidentiality agreement to you and gives you the opportunity to see if I am the right fit for you. If, after the consultation you do not wish to ahead, no worries, just drop me an email.

Even though face-to-face sessions are preferred, I am also happy to do sessions over Zoom or TEAMS, within the comfort of your own home. My training took place during the pandemic, so I am familiar with providing counselling online.

Areas I work with: abuse and addiction, anxiety, building self-esteem, depression, general mental health issues, grief and loss, relationships, personal development goals, stress and trauma.

I offer discounted rates for students, low income individuals and trainee counsellors. Discounted rates are also offered when booking in bulk (minimum - 6 sessions).

Children’s Counselling

Each session will last 50 minutes and I often recommend 6-8 sessions to start with. Every child is unique, and therefore I use a range of therapeutic approaches in order to assess how best to support the child in their counselling journey. These approaches include psychodynamic, person-centred, attachment-based theories, play therapy and elements of CBT. I understand the importance of treating every child as an individual, never making assumptions, and I strive to understand life from their perspective.

I use creative and playful mediums to suit the developmental needs of every individual child, allowing the child to feel safe and secure in exploring their thoughts and feelings, and also allowing their emotions to be communicated in a creative and child-friendly space. In addition, I use my skillset to support any SEND needs.

There will be a consultation process, which also includes you filling out a form prior to our consultation, on behalf your child. The consultation can take place in person, online or over the phone, whatever you are most comfortable with. We will discuss things such as; the amount of sessions, your desired outcomes, where you wish counselling to take place and anything else you think is important to share about your child. I will also discuss my terms and conditions and confidentiality agreement to you and your child.

Areas I work with: anxiety and stress, anger management, building self-esteem and confidence, dramatic life events, exams/school stress, exploring neurodiversity, exploring identity, friendships, general mental health issues, grief and loss and family conflict/relationships.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation, focused attention, and suggestion to help you enter a deeply relaxed state, often referred to as a “trance”. In this state, your mind becomes more open and receptive to positive suggestions, which can support change in thought patterns, behaviours, or emotional responses. Despite common myths, you're fully in control during hypnotherapy — it’s not about being “put under,” but rather working with your subconscious mind in a safe and focused way, to support personal change and healing.

Each session will last 60 minutes. A course of hypnotherapy often lasts between 6-8 weeks, which will include a consultation and modality indicator session. During the consultation process we will discuss your ideal outcomes from sessions, the amount of sessions you might need and I will discuss my terms and conditions and confidentiality agreement to you.

Hypnotherapy sessions will need to take place in person.

Areas I work with: addiction, anxiety, building self-esteem, fears and simple phobias, personal development goals, specific achievement goals (such as preparing for a particular event) relaxation, weight loss.

I offer discounted rates for students, low income individuals and trainee counsellors. Discounted rates are also offered when booking in bulk (minimum - 6 sessions).
